We provide employees with paid time off and funds to volunteer or donate to a local charity of their choice, in order to raise awareness of those living in poverty and provide direct opportunities to help.

For example, we organized a team volunteer day to support a local Salvation Army shelter. In another instance, one employee took the initiative to buy needed supplies (with funds donated by York and Chapel) to hand out to poverty-stricken families in Mexico where she was traveling. She shared her experience with all the employees when she returned.

To support our local economy, we choose to use local suppliers first to reduce shipping and environmental impact, where possible. This means choosing suppliers that may be more expensive.

We encourage our web development team to practice sustainable web development with streamlined code and utilize servers powered by sustainable energy sources. We use vendors that practice sustainable production. For example, we use a local printer that is certified by various sustainability alliances and offers comprehensive sustainable print options.

We currently offer a yearly $5,000 post-secondary scholarship to under-represented groups in the areas of Marketing and Design in Canada. A similar US scholarship will be launched next year.
